One item of note, we have joined the "National Center for Missing and Exploited Children", and have placed an automated banner on the home page that rotates a group of missing children. This banner also has links to report a child that has disappeared, report a sighting of one of the missing children or just information on how to protect your children. I con not personally think of anything worse than to lose one's child. Seeing your child injured or killed would be horrible enough, but to have one simply disappear is unbearable. The only bright side, if you could call it bright, of losing a child to death is that you are able to have some kind of closure, when a child is simply "missing", there is no closure. I know from personal experience, I lost my child to an ex-spouse who kept him hidden for ten years. During this time I spent many sleepless nights just wondering, searching and praying he was still alive. As it turned out we have recently re-established contact with each other, and he has come to visit a couple of times. However, this does not eradicate the ten years of anguish over the unknown, "is he alive, will I ever see him again, will he even remember me, etc.". So let's try to help some other anguished parents find their missing son or daughter. If we can help only one child get home, it will be worth whatever effort is expended.
That's all for now, and as always . . .
